Last year, Micel Folcland attempted an LHE at Jubilee Old English Faire near Peoria, Ill. It was held in the SCA encampment, and it was a success, showing us what we needed to do yet as well what we could already successfully do. This year, Jubilee Old English Fair will be held on the weekend of 16-19 June, and we are negotiating to set up camp in the midst of the fair. We already have a tentative agreement, and we will be talking with the site manage next week.

  • January 31
On the 31st of January, four of us from Regia Anglorum North America and The Vikings of Kyrbyr participated in filming the host segments for an upcoming series on the History Channel. The series is called "Conquerors" (I believe) and the episode on William the Conqueror is scheduled to be shown on the 30th of March. We understand the primary battle re-enactment was staged in the UK, but I don't know who was involved in that piece.
I've put up some photos of the filming on my web site: Click on the link named "The History Channel: Conquerors - William the Conqueror" on the left hand menu. Jack Garrett Alamo, California

  • March12 & 13: Calveras Celtic Faire,CA
Members of Regia in northern California will be appearing at the Calaveras Celtic Faire. We don't anticipate much more than a LHE, but members who are interested inparticipating should contact us immediately if they want to get on the gate list.
Anyone else who is interested is, of course, free to drop by and say hello.

  • June 11: Celtic Festival Ardenwood Farm, Freemont, CA
  • July 9-10: Old Fort Mac Arthur Days. San Pedro, CA.
We're returning to Old Fort Mac Arthur days. This event attracts hordes of top-notch military reenactors who represent nearly every era in military history. Fort Macarthur is an old gun battery in san pedro in the los angeles area. if memory serves, this would be our fourth year appearing at this event.
